THE
STORY:
It
started with a Sharpie marker and pair of sneakers inside
a freshman dorm. After years of fanatical research and
development, Tyler Way (aka "T.Way") finally
sold himself on his product. Never accepting "No"
as an answer and through countless trials of dedication
and persistence, Tyler built a network with the most
powerful names in sports. Artist Tyler Way now custom
designs and freehand paints (without stencils, tape,
etc.) sneakers for clients including Tayshaun Prince,
Rip Hamilton, Worldwide Wes, and a MVP pair for LeBron
James. His sneakers are coveted works of art and define
the word "exclusive." This website is dedicated
to YOU as living proof that if you have a dream and
the unwavering passion to follow it, then anything is
possible. Welcome to the beginning of Tyler Way's dream...

Directed
by T.Way, photographed by the great Mike Berlucchi,
and music by Adam Hopkins - this photoshoot required
over 200 pictures to rightfully attempt to capture these
MVP sneakers. Although best seen in person, these hundreds
of snapshots are the second best thing.
Yes,
these are the sneakers many of you have been hearing
about for practically months! T.Way presented these
to LeBron James following his MVP announcement press
conference in Akron. You can read all about T.Way's
excursion to deliver these shoes to LeBron on the [BLOG].
Watch out for the video of the sneakers coming soon
to your screen! More

T.Way
completed this painting weeks before the MVP announcement.
Why? Because LeBron had THAT great of a season and no
matter the arguments, rightfully deserved this award.

ARTWORK: LEBRON JAMES OLYMPIC-INSPIRED "PREVIEW"
PAINTING
Tyler
Way completed this painting to serve as the "preview"
of what LeBron's Olympic-inspired AF1 was going to resemble.
After its completion however, it was decided that the
tour/sneaker project will not be themed to commemorate
LeBron's leadership role in Team USA's golden 2008 Olympics.
The new theme is still being developed and should take
place this Spring - stay posted for more information.
On T.Way's [BLOG],
he takes you on a brief step-by-step process of the
different layers and sections of the painting. He used
both oil and acrylic paints on 18X20 canvas.
It
was time to update the T.WayCustoms electronic media
kit. For those interested in finding out more information
before scheduling an interview with artist Tyler Way,

About
this time of year in the northern states people are
itching for Spring. In the case of artist Tyler Way,
he's been itching like an addict for warm weather since
the season's first snow fall months ago. His tipping
point was last week after West Michigan was dumped on
with snow and ice day after day after day. To temper
his frustrations Tyler took an old school pair of Nike
Air Forces and for lack of a better word, was inspired
by Michigan's extremely cold, but also extremely beautiful,
winter landscapes. More pictures in "GalleryThree"

A
new project upon special request from a friend led Tyler
[Way] to touch on the best pair of headphones in the
industry: "Beats by Dr. Dre." You can find
pictures in "GalleryThree" on the Sneakers
page.
His
fiance hoped to keep these sneakers a surprise for his
February
birthday present...That plan was quickly broken as Rip
persistently asked and requested to see his sixth pair
of T.WayCustoms sneakers. Artist Tyler D. Way said this
pair was one of his most special because since "Little
Rip" (aka "Deuce") was born last October,
Way has witnessed how Rip's life has changed with the
birth of his first son. Click the pictures to visit
the Sneaker Galleries, then pick "GalleryThree"
to view. Or you can see these custom sneakers displayed
at Rip's house in the custom glass-enclosed sneaker/display
box.
